We believe that the most valuable resource your business has is its people. We believe that investing in your people, through training and development is the most effective way to maximise the potential of your business, and we believe that your business, no matter what the size, should have access to high quality learning and development. Before I founded Innovative Training Solutions I worked for over 20 years in Training and Learning & Development for some of the UK's largest companies including, 3M and Amazon.co.uk. For someone who loves educating it was a dream job - I had access to the most up to date learning science and technologies. I also saw how companies were using these to gain competitive advantage.

The Innovative Training Solutions story though, began when I left the industry to set up my own business in an entirely different field – a retail fast-print and copying company located on the wild, west coast of Wales. As I grew the business and networked with other firms I realised two things. Firstly, that SME's simply don't have the opportunity for growth through learning that the larger organisations I had always worked for could provide. And secondly, that as much as I loved running my own business, my true passion lay in education – facilitating growth in others and helping organisations reach their potential.

I founded Innovative Training Solutions to combine my love for training with an answer to the problem I'd seen so small to medium sized businesses facing. One of the most satisfying things in my career to date has been watching the bespoke packages we have developed help businesses of all sizes grow into their potential.

Another of my favourite things about running my own training business is the freedom it gives me to explore and share my own areas of interest. Throughout my career I've been fascinated by psychology and personal development – how an understanding of our minds can help us achieve more both in our work and our lives. I strongly believe that when a business pays attention to helping its staff grow on a human level, as well as simply giving them the skills they need to do their job, they will prosper. Our Emotional Intelligence training package is a personal passion of mine, and I'm deeply proud to say it has delivered tangible, bottom line results to a number of successful companies across the UK.


The Innovative Training Solutions Team

Innovative Training Solutions consists of a small but dedicated team of highly skilled trainers, materials developers and field experts to help us incorporate the wide range of areas we are asked to create training materials for. While each member of the team brings something unique and valuable, we are united by our belief that to truly help a business grow we must provide training that helps people grow too. We believe passionately that we should be developing people on a personal and emotional level as well as teaching them the skills to do their job.

Whatever training you call us in to design, develop and deliver, our methods will be rooted in our belief that a strong Emotional Intelligence is the key to a successful business. The training will not only help you and your staff develop the skills and tools to do the job, but will do so in a way that helps develop key, 'soft skills' that can help foster deeper relationships with clients, a more harmonious office environment and happier, more productive staff. We believe that this approach is what separates us from the majority of other training companies.

Chris Williams is a workplace training and learning & development specialist with over 20 years experience. Previous to founding Innovative Training Solutions, he held senior learning & development positions in both the public and private sector, including, most recently with Amazon UK which included involvement with Amazon UK leadership development projects.

After qualifying with a PGCE/Cert Ed (specialising in Instructional Design Models), Chris's belief that Emotional Intelligence is the key to success in business led him to undergo training as an EI (Emotional Intelligence) practitioner in association with CAEI (Centre for Applied Emotional Intelligence). Chris is also CIPD qualified (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) and he is a long-term member of several professional training bodies, including the American Society for Training and Development.
